This Is My Ship Now: Trap Six Marines in Observation

Start The Pillar of Autumn at Rally Point Bravo on Easy, eliminate Captain Keyes, bait the six avenging Marines into the bridge, and use timed melee pushes to drop every one into the recessed observation pen.

Before you start

  • — Start The Pillar of Autumn at Rally Point Bravo on Easy.

Target

Start at the bridge

Do this

  1. 1Select Rally Point Bravo on Easy difficulty.
  2. 2Finish the bridge cutscene and receive the Magnum.
  3. 3Turn back into the bridge instead of following the objective out.

Confirmation

You are armed and standing inside the bridge with Captain Keyes.

Target

Spawn the six Marines

Do this

  1. 1Eliminate Captain Keyes.
  2. 2Wait for the security response instead of trying to leave.
  3. 3Count the six invincible Marines who enter to attack you.

Confirmation

Exactly six hostile Marines are active in the bridge.

Lead the squad to the front

Do this

  1. 1Back toward the pilot stations while keeping the Marines following you.
  2. 2Use the narrow entrance and consoles to prevent all six from firing at once.
  3. 3Position each Marine between Chief and the drop into the observation pen.

Confirmation

At least one Marine is lined up with the recessed drop.

Target

Push all six into the pen

Do this

  1. 1Wait until a Marine is standing rather than crouched.
  2. 2Aim the melee so the knockback points directly toward the drop.
  3. 3Pause between strikes; repeated melee against a crouched Marine may produce almost no movement.
  4. 4Switch to another Marine when one becomes stuck, then return after the group repositions.

Confirmation

Each pushed Marine remains trapped below the pilot area.

Complete the containment

Do this

  1. 1Count the Marines already in the pen before pushing the last one.
  2. 2Check the bridge entrance and console corners for a Marine who became stuck.
  3. 3Push the final Marine over the edge and wait for the game to register the full group.

Confirmation

This Is My Ship Now unlocks when all six Marines are inside the pen.
